The Urban League of Pittsburgh, Inc. and the University of Pittsburgh Center for Minority Health are working in collaboration with UPMC Health System and African American physicians in the Gateway Medical Society to launch another “African American Health Promotion Month. This effort is a demonstration of local support for National Minority Health Month being celebrated across the nation during the month of April. Other members of the partnership include, but are not limited to, Highmark Blue Cross/ Blue Shield and the Greater Pittsburgh Faith Based Health Initiative. Health screenings and health information will be provided free to all participants.
