Employment, Training and Economic Empowerment

Employment Counseling and Placement Clients are prepared for job placement with career counseling assessment, resume writing assistance, interview coaching, and referral services. The Urban League has a reputation for quality training and employment assistance. New clients can enroll at the employment department on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday from 9:00 am to 5 pm. Urban Youth Empowerment Program (UYEP) The program provides career preparation and meaningful unsubsidized employment to "high risk" out of school and or adjudicated youth ages 18-21 in Allegheny County. The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh is partnering with the Three Rivers Workforce Investment Board and other community and faith based organizations in implementing the UYEP contract. UYEP is funded through the Department of Labor and for more information please call 412.325.3928.
